Construction Support Solutions was retained by the U.S. Coast Guard to provide Construction Inspection (CI) services to oversee the Recapitalized Family Housing renovations at Jonesport, ME and to ensure that the design/build contractor is in compliance with contract documents by providing surveillance of the construction project.  The scope of work includes design and construction services to build 12 unit family housing; eight (8) 3- bedroom housing units and four (4) 4-bedroom housing units, as well as one maintenance/storage building, bus shelters, and all associated site work. Two of the 4-bedroom housing units shall comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act Accessibility Guidelines (ADAAG).

The housing units will be a mix of one (1) and two (2) story single family or duplex units. The sites are approximately 28 acres of cleared and 34 acres of un-cleared, Coast Guard owned land in Northeast Maine. Required site development includes associated access roads, driveways, sidewalks, individual wells, septic systems, storm water drainage system, electrical distribution system, telecommunications system and other supporting utilities. Landscaping shall be provided to the housing community. Site amenities such as a playground, picnic areas, and walking paths are included as options.

The Base proposed development includes, but is not limited to, the design and construction of six (6) 3-bedroom (approx. 2,300 GSF) housing units and four (4) 4-bedroom (approx. 2,500 GSF) housing units, one maintenance/storage building (approx 2,000 GSF), bus shelters and associated site work.
